General Rules

• Students without Student I.D cards are not allowed into the library.

• No OUTSIDE food and drinks allowed in all areas of the library.

• Food and drinks bought from the Library Café is allowed to be consumed only in the QUIET ZONE.

• No food and drinks allowed in the SILENT ZONE.

• Smoking, using smokeless tobacco, and e-cigarettes in any area of the library is prohibited.

• Vandalize, move or modify of library materials, furniture or equipment is prohibited.

• Making unreasonable noise, including loud talking on a cell phone or otherwise is prohibited.

• Library staff reserves the right to ask you to leave the library for disruptive behavior (such as loud talking, yelling, use of profanity, arguing with library staff or failure to follow the instructions).

• Library staff reserves the right to inspect bags or other personal property when visitors enter or leave the Library.

• Library staff reserves the right to ask students for Student I.D card when disciplinary action is taken by the Library.

• No pets are permitted in the library.

• Please take note that Circulation Counter & Computer Room will be CLOSED 15 minutes before the library closes.

• Students are required to RETURN all library books and clear the overdue fine before deferment of study, change programme, progression, semester break, leave of absence, pre mature withdrawal or withdrawal .

• Library staff may amend the Library Rules and Regulations as and when necessary.
